| | Out to George Washington Academy w. Stoner, Mia and JP. We fed some horses on our way back! |
| | Ran around my neighborhood. |
| | First trail run... Quial Lake.. Hideous. |
| | Double churches out in Washinton Fields |
| | To the Animal Shelter with Mia |

6 miles to Green Springs. It was raining and FREEZING outside. Felt like I was going to die the whole time. The running though, felt good! |
| | Today we did the "roller coaster" run around the mountain I don't know how to spell, but let's say Shob Keib. It was a run I've never done before so I was excited, and it wasn't too bad! The running felt good. After the run we did weights. |
| | We ran Target and back just beacuse me and JP love that run :) My legs were kind of sore because of the weights from yesterday, otherwise it was a good run!! After we did 8 straiders = 1 mile. |
| | Trail Thursday!! We went out somewhere close to Snow Canyon and ran up on the mountain I guess. It was the best trail run so far, even though I liked the first Green Springs trail run too. The weather was really nice, not too warm, not too cold, and the view on the top was amazing! |
| | Washington - Green Pole. JP was sick so it was just me, Kaylee, Mia and Rachel. My legs were really tired today so when Rachel and Kaylee were racing the whole run I got pretty ornery, hehe. After the run we did some weights, me and Rachel worked on the bench! And for you who wants to know, I bought a hamster for Rachel today after practice. It's golden brown and I call it Friday, after me of course. Its real name is Squeak. |
| |
This morning I got up at 05:54 to run 4 miles by myself. In the dark. Sometimes I think I'm crazy :) It was a lap around the mountain and it felt sooo good! I think I run 10 times faster by myself. Especially when it's dark and I think creepy people are going to kidnap me. |
| |
Shoerun! This was my second time running this loop and I really like it! We could also pass by our beloved friend Franklin and say hi. Oh, he has got so skinny. Jus skin and bone... After the run we had weights (steps) |
| | I don't know if we call this run Green Springs loop? Anyway, it's the loop by JP's house. It's actually only 7 miles, but we added some of the DI loop in the end so it ended up being 8 miles. |
| | AM: 3 miles Arctic Circle. First morning practice this year and it felt SO good! I'm going to be tired this weekend though but who cares :) PM:Shoerun today again... It was so warm outside!!! Can't believe it's only February, hehe. It felt really good though. 8 striders after run + weights!
|
| |
AM: 3 miles to Arctic Circle. I'm so proud! PM: Trail Thursday= 5 miles. We went up to the mountain by the airport and it was actually the bes trail run so far. I really liked it!
| |
| |
AM: 3 miles around my neighborhood. Yes! Felt gooooddiieee! PM: Today we went hospital run. Mia could unfortunately not join us, a real bummer! The run was really good. You can tell when you've run that hideous hill because the stairs in school are killing your legs, haha. Weights after wasn't very fun.. I can't do the bench anymore because I've seriously lost all my arm muscles.. Buhu
|
| | Mia and Mia were early birds this morning. Who needs to sleep when you can run? That's what I thought! I love the Saturday runs because they are short and afterwards you actually have more than a 24 hour rest :) |
| |
AM: Couldn't get a ride to practice this morning so I went out for a little run myself. It was like 3 miles and it felt SO good. Bad thing though it's so hard to get up and go.. PM: 8 miles Hospital extended on a trail. On a trail that led us to.. a gas station? I don't even know where we went haha. If you'd ask me to run it again I would not be able to do it without Kaylee. She kind of knows the way. Isn't it funny how bad I am at remembering ways etc? Hm.. I think so. Anyway.. It felt really good until the last mile. Since the two last ones were tempo, I got kind of tired. Felt like I was going to throw up, but luckily I didn't! Hopefully I just felt like that because it was the first "work out" of the season. It will get better, I'm sure! After the run we had weights. They felt fine!
|
| | AM: Ran 3 miles by myself in the morning. Want to add some mileage before I leave to Miami. PM: 6 miles to Green Springs. It felt really good. Some of the girls like to make 1000 stops on the way but I made sure we had a good pace.. haha. |
| | AM: 3 miles around the mountain. PM: Green Pole. Yes. It didn't feel very good, but we made it so I guess it was ok! By the way, I don't think I like this run. Hm. |
| | AM: Arctic Circle. I like the morning runs with the girls. So boring to run by yourself! PM: Trail Thursday. We went up to Dixie Rock. I felt like poop the whole time. Literally. I did. The only thing I was thinking about was the turn around, that unfortunately never came! We passed the 2.5 mile mark thinking it was a loop. It wasn't! We ended up running 6 miles (or more, we kind of got lost haha) but the end was pretty fun, I like when Rachel takes the lead and leads us to random places. Because she doesn't have a clue, haha! |
| | AM: Last morning run this week. I was excited! 3 miles around the mountain. PM: Okay, so I've been arguing with Jp about running Parkway forever, and finally I got it my way! It wasn't as hideous as she described it, I actually liked this run (I don't dare write anything else haha). It felt good, because Friday runs always does. Yes! And by the way, Parkway is 8 miles. |
| | PM: No trail Thursday today. After my 5-days break in Miami I felt really good about running again! We ran the Taleah course, which was 3 miles, and then we added Hot Nails to that. We ended up running 6 and it felt really good. I guess the break didn't effect me too bad. |
| | AM: Arctic Circle and back!
PM: Trail-Friday somewhere out in the mountains! Yes, we ran it. And despite the 3 miles up hill it felt really good. It was sunny and I was happy. We ran a total of 6 miles. |
| | So, the day of the Taleah race! Me, Stoner & Mia ran to the school which was 5 miles, just a warm up you know. Haha. The race itself felt really good, yes it did! I tried to stick with Rachel and I guess it worked until the very finish at the track. I took third and I was so excited about getting one of those life strength bracelets, haha. I don't know the time exactly but I guess it was around 20:15-20:20. We did 1 mile cool down so we ended up running a total of 9 miles. | |
| | Sunrise Hill. Because it's President's Day today we got together at 8 am and ran a hill work out. It was freezing cold and my muscles weren't ready to work so the beginning felt like crap. More towards the end it started to feel better, but when we were done I was tired, I'm not going to lie. We did 3 full hills and 4 half. And we also ran over there and back, of course. I guess half a hill is 200 m while one is 400. And then up and down blah blah ended up being 6 miles. I think we were supposed to run a total of 8 but none told us so.. I guess coach will yell at us tomorrow. Hehe. |
| | AM: 3 miles to Arctic Circle and back. Felt gooodie! PM: 5 miles (!!), Shoerun! Don't even remember last time I only ran 5 miles. It felt really good actually. After we had 8 straiders (= 1 mile) and they felt really good too! During the run I think I mentioned how excited I am for us to start speed work outs, though. I feel like those long afternoon runs start to get boring. Boring and slow. I need some speed. That's all from me! |
| | AM: Arctic Circle. Thumbs up! PM: So, today was the time trial day. How nervous I've been ever since coach told us yesterday. Well, we started with a 2 mile warm up (DI loop) and then we ran the mile. It went by so fast I don't even remember. I wanted to stick with Kaylee so I did. At least for two laps, haha. I'm pleased with today's effort and sine I barely remember the run, I assume it was nice. Didn't feel like crap or so. We finished with one more mile (a bit slower this time) and then the DI loop backwards. I don't know my time trial time yet, but as soon as I know I'll post it! | |
| | AM: Arctic Circle - 3 miles. PM: 7 mile run to the house out in Washington Fields. I felt really crappy. Yes I did.. |
| | AM: Arctic Circle - 3 miles. PM: Got a fever so had to go home from school.. Can't believe I couldn't run my first half marathon due to FEVER. A real bummer!!! |
| | No morning practice for me since I've been sick all weekend!
PM: 6 miles, shoerun. Feels like we always run shoerun. I don't like it at all, but since Rachel seems to love it I can't say that out loud, haha. I felt really weird during the run and even worse during the striders, weights and plyos! Uuh.. had a fever again when I came home... Should have taken it easier!! |
| | AM: Arctic Circle, still only 3 miles hehe. PM: Ran over to the old man hills for a hill work out.. The run over there was pretty good, but don't talk to me about the work out. I felt worse than ever. I literally felt like I was going to throw up!! We did 3x(2x200 + 1x800). The first set felt okay, the second 200's felt okay too, but the second 800 was awful. I ran the last 200's and then I ran over to the Heinrich's house to use their bathroom. I could NOT finish the last 800, I just couldn't. Then, I almost fell asleep right there on the side walk while I was waiting for the girls. And I could barely run back, so Mia had to walk/jog super slowly with me. Felt bad for her! Can't wait until I'm back on track again because this sucks. |
| | AM: Arctic Circle PM: 7 mile - Green Springs loop! I felt crappy all the way to Jp's house, and then I was fine actually! Me and Mia saw an old lady walk by us and we started to talk about old people. The time passed by and all of a sudden we were back at the school! We did weights and plyos and they felt good! When I came home I felt better than I've done in a while, so I was more than happy! |
| | AM: Arctic Circle - why is it so hard to wake up on Friday mornings?? PM: DI loop warm up (2 miles), ready to do my first work out on the track. 6x800 with 2 min cool down in between. My goal was to stick with Jp and Stoner, which i actually did! I was super afraid that I would feel as bad as I did on Wednesday, but I didn't! The only thing that bothered me was my cough a little bit and that my trachea was burning a little bit, hehe. Otherwise we all did a great job, finishing every 800 around 3 minutes where coach wanted us to be! The first 3 times were really fine, then the 3 last ones I could start to feel my legs, but it still wasn't too bad! I'm so happy to be done with my first work out, and especially to feel better again! We did Harts and back cool down. | |
| | Oh my.. the first time of my life I ran 10 miles straight. Just like that! Me and Kaylee went from my house out to the white house in Green Springs, and back. In the end we also did a 20 minute tempo.. that wasn't really a tempo, but whatever. At least I ran 10 miles and I'm so proud of myself!! GREAT :) |
| | AM: 3 miles Arctic Circle PM: This afternoon I had to do the work out by myself. Yes, because everyone else abandoned me, except Taylor & Liz! We ran over to Old Man Hills and did a workout, just like last Wednesday (when I felt like a piece of crap!). This time I could actually do the whole thing which was 3x(2x200 + 1x800). It was really hard to find a good pace during the 800's and I think I ran a little bit too slow during the 2nd one. The last one Corey helped me by running with me and it helped a lot. I totally gave all I had! The work out over all was kind of crappy, mostly because no one was really there, but also because it was really hot outside. I did finish everything after all and I guess it ended up being like 8.5 miles, but I'm not sure! |
| |
AM: 3 miles AC
PM: EASY RUN!! Today was the best time in a very long time. And since this is a running blog I'm not going to give you anything else than information about today's run, hehe. We had 4 miles easy and it felt SO good. We went out to Washington (church after hot nails) and back. After, we had striders and weights/plyos! Great day!
|
| | AM: 3 miles, AC PM: I was not looking forward to this run at all, but now afterwards it feels so good. We had 9 miles w. 35 minutes tempo. Me and Kaylee held a 7 minute/mile pace the entire tempo and to be honest, I thought it was going to be really hard and painfull, but it was super nice. When you get into it after like 10 minutes or so, you feel like you can go all day, haha. I love that feeling! After our tempo on the way back I told Kaylee that I would rather have run the tempo all the way back to school since my legs started to hurt like crazy when we were running "slow". They always do.. hm. However, this was a really nice run and after it I realized why I do this crap every day. I love it SO much! After the run we had weights without plyos, felt good too! |
| | AM: 3 miles, AC PM: This afternoon we ran 6 miles easy. Kaylee and Mia decided that we should run shoe run so that we could jump into the pond, a decision I disliked. However, they didn't get me to jump into it because first of all I've been sick and second of all I had a wound on my finger. Bacteria grow like trees in Sweden in that pond and I bet I would've got an infection if I jumped in. Since the shoe run is only 5, we added two 800 laps around the stadium when we came back. After that me and Kaylee ran our 4x200. I HATE THEM. But they were okay I guess. At least it felt good even though Kaylee beat me in every single one :) | |
| Race: |
Al Comers @ Snow Canyon (1 Miles) 00:05:40, Place overall: 2 | | AM: 3 miles, AC PM: First track meet for me ever! I was so excited! Since I ran the mile I was first out of all events. It was super short and super fun. I felt strong the entire race and I beat that Kelsey girl no one likes, haha. I took 2nd place and I was actually proud of my effort, my time was 9 seconds better than the time trial so that was good. I came to the race with a goal to get my PR from 5:49 to 5:45, and I pretty much did that! What else should I say? That I'm super excited for this season? You bet I am. I also did the 800, and I was SUPER nervous. I've never done anything speedy like that before, I'm obviously not a speedy person. Coach told me it was 2:30 of pain, and that I just had to run it, so I did. It was like he said, even though maybe the first 30 seconds weren't that bad. I don't know my time but I was 5th to finish and pretty much all I remember from the race was that I gave every single piece of my energy the last 100 m. And then it was over. Painful but short. I will remember that!
| | An easy run with Mia this morning. We were both complaining over how sore we were, but we made it all the way around the mountain! We had a nice "talkable" pace, which means that we could talk and run at the same time. Fun! |
| | AM: 5 miles easy run out to Green Springs. Felt good! Striders afterwards. PM: So.. I brought Madiosn for a 3 mile run around the mountain. She made it half way. Back home she told me that was the last time she ever ran with me.. I'm bummed! |
| | AM: Work out Tuesday! Warm up DI loop (2 miles), then 4x(2x200,1x800), cool down Harts. It was a good work out and I had a good pace through the entire thing (maybe not the last two 200's, hehe) even though my legs were getting tired. It was mentally a pretty tough work out since it's a lot of repeating the same things, especially the 200's since they're not really my favorites haha. At least I made it through and I'm always so proud of myself for doing it :) PM: Around the mountain - 3 miles. This time I had Madison on the bike. She liked it! Haha. |
| | AM: 7 miles with 20 minutes tempo. My legs were just running today! I really like the tempo runs because I can have a nice faster pace without killing myself or my legs hehe. So yes, the tempo felt good and I had Stoner and Kaylee right ahead of me so that was good too! The 6x200 were hideous, but we already knew that :) At least I did them, and lots of thanks to Stoner who was cheering for me from the bleachers! PM: So.. today we hiked Angels Landing and my legs (and my head) were dead after. I couldn't even think about running. So I just skipped it. Aah.. I probably should've done it, but since it got approved by my Captain, Kaylee, I don't feel so bad about it ;) | |
| | AM: 5 miles easy around the mountain with Mia. I LOVE THE WEATHER. Just sayin. PM: Ran home from Mallory's softball game at Pine View, which was 3 miles. Running hasn't felt that good since forever. Even though it was hot outside my legs could've kept going forever. Bad thing I didn't have a 10 mile run this afternoon, I would've done it easy without a doubt. |
| | AM: Slept in (9 am) today! Felt good! And before I start I have to apologize to coach because I did my own little thing today, hehe. I just added the two runs today together, 4+3 = 7, which means I ran 7. I just hate when you have to walk around waiting to run 3 miles, even though running clothes are my favorite! However, I went to the Nisson Park from my house (3,5 miles) and over there I did my 8 striders. I did the striders in kinda downhillish and it felt really good! The way back went by fast and for that I have to thank my iPod. Sometimes I just love to run on my own! :)
AND HAPPY BDAY TO STONER WHO'S TURNING 17 TODAY! :D |
| | AM: 10 miles easy today. It was a nice run, a little bit windy, but nice! I ran (from my house) to the Hospital and back with a little stop at Lenka's house both ways. She ran like 3 miles with me and I was so proud of her! I'm looking forward to rest tomorrow so I can be ready for next weeks running! :) |
| | AM: Arctic Circle - 3 miles. PM: Work Out Monday! We started with DI loop as a warm up (2 miles) and then we entered the track. Last night I was dreaming about this weekend's invite. It was kind of a night mare and I was really relieved when I woke up and realized it was Monday, haha. Anyway, I think this dream made me kinda nervous for today's work out, but when we started it felt really good. Nowadays I feel like I'm a Stoner... or should I say a runner? At least I stick with her the whole time and I appreciate so much that she pulls me through every work out. Today we did 1x1200, 2x1000 and 3x800. We were supposed to have a 4:44 time on 1200, 3:57 on 1000 and 3:09 on 800. We killed the times pretty much! I think the 1200 was 4:30, the 1000's around 3:45 and the 800's 3:00ish. Even though we killed the times it didn't feel like I killed myself, which was very pleasant. However, the last 800 I decided to help Stoner out since she's always making me run fast, so I passed her with like 200 m left. Unfortunately I forgot to give her a hint to come with me, so I ended up too much ahead of her. At least now I know that if I wanna help her out I should point next to me.. but I also know that I can take the lead sometimes and that feels really good to know! After, we did Harts cool down (1,5 miles) and then steps and plyos. | |
| | AM: Arctic Circle. Can't get enough!! PM: Okay.. So we had a really hard time to agree on what run we were gonna run today. Rachel & JP wanted to go some Hospital extended to some church. Kaylee and I wanted to confront the hill. Mia was in the middle, kind of grumpy haha :) We ended up splitting by the hospital and me, Mia & Kaylee (the winners!!) ran the hill. It was a good run and that hill seems like a piece of cake compared to the first time I ran it. Think it was August 15 or something, haha. After the run we did 8 striders. Gooooood day! |
| | AM: 3 to AC. PM: Work Out-Wednesday! So, like every work out we did DI loop as a warm up and Harts as a cool down. The work out on the track was good today - 2x(2x1000, 4x200). It was super hot outside though, so my head was burning, but coach thought we did a really good job so I guess we did. I usually always have a hard time with those 200's, but for some reason it wasn't that bad today. The last ones were tough, but after coach told us that we were robots I kept thinking that I was a robot and that robots just keep going.. and that I was fed with chocolate milk. I always think about weird stuff when I'm running. HOWEVER, it was a good work out and I'm actually excited for the meet on Friday. Nervous and excited. It's gonna be fun! And we're all gonna qualify for the BUY meet, which will make it even more fun! |
| |
AM: 3 miles, AC PM: I'm very frustrated because I just wrote and published my post.. without success. Everything was deleted. Sometimes I wash I was living 1854 so I wouldn't have to worry about things just disappearing on my computer... However, today's run was kind of crappy, my legs were super tired after yesterday's work out. I felt like a but stuck in a pair of tight jeans a hot summer day. Super hot and kind of hurting! We ran 5 to Green Springs and the best part was definitely to dip our feet in the green water. After the run we did 4x200's and those weren't too bad at all. I'm super excited/nervous about tomorrows race. Freaking out right now a little bit. But it feels good to have Rachel & Kaylee back in the race, I missed them so two weeks ago! No JP's the only one missing. GET BETTER GIRL!

| Race: |
Pine View Invite (1 Miles) 00:05:30, Place overall: 14 | | AM: 3 miles AC PM: RACE!! Okay, do I even have to say that we did warm ups + cool downs to cover our 5 miles today? Just did it anyway! So, to the race. I can here and now admit that I've never been this nervous before. Ever. It started out as a normal race-nervous, but changed quickly after I saw what heat coach put me in. It wasn't actually so much the heat, more the time. It said 5:30, and since my PR was 5:40 I kind of freaked out. However, I decided to just go for it and prove that I can do it. The race came up so fast and like last time I don't really remember much. All of a sudden it was the third lap, which I don't even remember that much of, and then the last lap. I was afraid that I was going to die out during the fourth lap, and since I was kind of in the back of the pack I was afraid that I wouldn't stay with them. But I did, and I didn't die out! Part of it was thanks to coach who screamed to me with one lap left that I was going for the state time. I gave my all the last lap and then, just as fast as it started, it was over. I ran in 5:30, which is a new PR and yes it felt so good. Even though it was just 3 seconds from state qualification, I was impressed by myself. I was kind of joking about "what if I improve 10 seconds today".. but I really did! So now I'm going to get a good nights sleep and reload my batteries for tomorrow's 2 miler :)
| Race: |
Pine View Invite (2 Miles) 00:11:42, Place overall: 8 | | My first 2 mile race ever. Think I did that pretty good since I qualified for state!! My dad just sent to me on Facebook that they are buying air tickets to Salt Lake, haha. Sweet! The race itself felt way better than the 1 mile yesterday. I liked it a lot and didn't seem like I ran 8 laps at all. I don't have any earlier races to compare with so I'm going to be brief and just say that I'm very happy with my effort and that I'm going to improve until next weekend :) |
| | AM: 3, Arctic Circle PM: The work out wasn't bad at all when I heard about it.. forgot that I didn't drink any water today during the day. How stupid is that?? Tomorrow I'm bringing a gallon to school, just in case ;) However, the work out was 8 miles with fartlek (YES, a Swedish word!). We did 2 min fast, 1 min recover, 1 min fast, 30 sec recover, 30 sec fast, 30 min recover - times 4! We had a really good pace and even though Kaylee kicked my & Stoner's buts in the end, we did a pretty good job staying with her! Now I'm super exhausted and I'm going to bed. No excuses.... Just results. Good Night! |
| | AM: 3 miles, Arctic Circle PM: Easy run out to Green Pole and back. We did 4 loops on the track after since that run only is 6 miles. Striders after so ended up at a total of 8 miles. It felt really good today so I think I'll be ready for a work out tomorrow! After run & striders we had steps and plyos. |
| | AM: Arctic Circle -3 PM: Work Out Wednesday! Warm up + cool down (DI, Harts) then 10x400's. It sounded like the end of the world, but it was actually pretty good! It did NOT seem like we ran 10 laps, but we did. I felt really crappy, especially tired, before practice so I was a bit worried how I would do, but I think I did fine! I had a 1:24 pace the first 3 laps and after that it was 1:20 almost ever lap. The last two was even 1:18-1:19 so it was good! It's funny how big part the mental part is of running. I didn't figure that out today though, just wanted to emphasize it! Total mileage was 7.25 miles. |
| | AM: 3, AC
PM: 4 miles easy to Sandburgs and just like always, the girls had to swim in the pond. I didn't. It's kind of funny, because I've been running this loop 1000 times, and never seen a living cow (Franklin doesn't count as living) before. Today I did. Five billion cows glaring at me, and Rachel didn't do things better! At least I know myself better now... I cry when we take 2nd place in State, and I cry when I think cows are going to attack me. Stupid cows. After the run we did 4x200's. |
| | AM: 5 miles to Target, since I'm not racing today! PM: 2.5 miles + striders at the track meet! |
| Race: |
Desert Hills Invite (1 Miles) 00:05:29, Place overall: 2 | | I don't know why I'm freaking out nowadays when we have track meets. I'm just so nervous I wanna puke. However, I ran the 1600 today with my mind set on qualifying for State. I didn't. It was such a bummer, because even though I got a new PR (5:29), I have 2 seconds left to the state time. BUT, this will make me more motivated for the next race in two weeks and I think that I'll be happier to kill those seconds if it's not a piece of cake. Not that I think it was a piece of cake today, but those last races have just worked out so good for me and I believe that it will be more fun to go to state if I have to fight for it a little bit. Because I know I'm going to qualify, sooner or later. The race itself was good.. I started out fast to get in the front of the pack, and that was a really good decision. I stayed up there with what I think was two Cross Creek girls (not sure though), and it worked until the last 100 m. I really tried to sprint as fast as I could, but it didn't work. I'm going to bring this experience to the next race, that I'm going to pass the girl ahead of me in the beginning of the last lap and not save it til the end. That way maybe I'll make her tired and beat her like that. I took 2nd place though and like I said, I PRd. We also ran the 800 and that wasn't too bad. I just felt trapped behind all those girls and the last 200 meters wasn't even hard. I was kind of frustrated but I don't really care now, 800 is not my event anyway! One of those meets I'll qualify for BYU if I didn't do it today.
| | AM: 3 miles to Arctic Circle PM: Like every Monday, we had a work out! Warm up, DI Loop & Harts cool down. Like every Monday. The work out consisted of 5x800. We were supposed to have a 2:57 pace, but I stuck with Kaylee and we were down at 2:50 in the end. The work out felt SO good! I don't know if it was Sunday's rest or what it was, but I just ran and ran without any pain. Love when your work outs feels like that! Got vary mad when I found out that we had plyos and steps after...! But I'm glad now that I did them! |
| | AM: 3 miles to Arctic Circle. Can run that run in my sleep by now :) PM: I was excited about the work out today... What happened to me? I think yesterday's work out got me all pumped up! I don't know but after Saturday's 1600 I just neeeeed to give my all, I don't want to be bummed again! My goal is now to qualify before I turn 19 (in 3 weeks), and that is a pretty decent goal! Anyway, the work out was, besides DI warm & Harts cool, 2x(2x1000 + 4x200). I felt really good today too, it was just the last two 200's I got super tired in my legs. Usually I hate 200's but today they were easier than they use to be for some reason. Over all this was a good work out and I'm happy we have two days of "rest" ahead of us! And I'm super excited for Thursday's long jump, haha. If I dare to do it ;) | |
| |
AM: 3 miles, Arctic Circle PM: 4 miles easy... to Sandburgs. Oh my, I just hate that run!! But we all have our favorites so I've learned that complaining only makes it worse :) However, I never want to swim in the pond because it's cold and nasty.. so me, Kaylee G and Liz Lunt ran back while the rest were jumping around naked in the water. I'm a little bit mad I missed Stoner in sports bra though ;) After the run we had 8 striders + steps & plyos.
|
| | AM: 3, AC PM: 5 miles, Target and back.. We ran a new way there with Roberts today! It was so much fun. Talked about cross country, MISS IT! Gooooood run. |
| | AM: Started this Spring Recess with a morning work out! After a DI loop, we entered the track. Since we didn't have any watch, nor knew the times we were supposed to hit, I ran with Kaylee's phone in my hand and we assumed times due to our 200 R pace time, which was 41 seconds. We did 2x600, 3x400, 4x300 & 6x200 with equal recoveries. I think we had a faster pace than we were supposed to have, throughout the entire work out. It felt good though and the equal recovery helped a lot! Oh, and I remember that our 300 m time was 1:01 every single time and the 400 was 1:24-1:26. I forgot the 600... and we didn't time the 200's. After the work out we did Harts cool down! PM: 3 miles by myself in the sun! Gotta love it :) |
| | Went out by myself this morning. It felt really good! I ran passed Pine View and out to Hot Nails and passed the "single double church" to the street named Bella.. something. And back of course. It was 9 miles and I listened to a total of 22 songs, FYI :) GREAT RUN! | |
| | AM: 8 am Kaylee and JP came to my house for a 10 mile run! We ran out to the 4-mile mark in Green Springs and back. We stopped at the Sullivan Soccer Park on our way back, to do steps and plyos. It was a great run! PM: 3 miles easy from Lenka's house. It was HOT. |
| | AM: 3 miles, Arctic Circle PM: Work Out, oh yes, oh yes, oh yes! It was steaming hot and my skin was frying.. but I'm not complaining.. I'm known for hating the cold, you know. As every Work Out we had DI warm & Harts cool so I'm not going to write that anymore. We ran 6x800 I, and we were supposed to hit a 2:57 time. We hit 2 seconds off (both up and down) as the most, but almost every time was 56, 57, 58! I felt like crap though, but it was good to get a feel of how it is to run in the heat. It will probably happen again soon. I'm not ready for another work out tomorrow, but I guess with some sleep now I'll feel better. |
| | AM: 3 miles, Arctic Circle PM: Workout Wednesday! Feels like it was a long time ago we had a workout on a Wednesday (and I just learned that you spell workout like that and not like "work out" hehe..). Anyway, today we had 10x400. It's mentally SO tough to think that you have TEN of something, but since it's pretty fast you don't really have the time to analyze it, you just do it! Me and Kaylee were supposed to hit 1:20 and we did that almost every time! It was like 1:19-1:21, but to be honest, we did that pretty good! It wasn't as hot today either (even though the wind was a little bit annoying) so it felt fine! |
| | AM: 3 miles, Arctic Circle PM: 5 miles easy out towards Washington. It was a great run with a good pace, and it's always fun to have Coach Roberts to chat with during the run! After the run we did 4x200's and that was okay.. didn't feel either good or bad. It was just.. okay! |

Cedar Invite (1 Miles) 00:05:33, Place overall: 2
AM: Arctic Circle PM: RACE!!! I wasn't nervous at all compared to the latest races.. I don't know if that's good or bad? Coach told me not to worry about times this weekend, mostly because the weather was going to be crappy - and it was!! It was windy and super cold, so it affected the times a lot! Anyway, my goal was to beat that girl from Canyon View who took 1st place at Desert Hills two weeks ago, and I did! I stuck with Kaylee the whole time and she was such a good help for me! We finished with just a tiny gap between us, so first I thought that I qualified. Turned out that I didn't, haha. But, we did a really good race and I know that I'll break the qualifying time at Dixie next weekend. I just know it! Then the 2 mile: (can't add two race reports on the same day...) Time: 12:03 Place: 1st So, by the time it was our turn to run the 2 mile, it was like 9:30 pm and snowing. I'm not kidding. It was freeeeezing! Me and Stoner had the best PR's at the starting line, so I expected noting else than to take the lead. I did, and kept it the entire race. It's really hard to have the lead and push yourself and I could see that today! It was good that coach was screaming at me to accelerate by 100 m mark every lap, otherwise I would've settled in the same pace. But I made it and I took 1st place which is probably the first time ever for me :)

Run 4 Kids (6.4 Miles) 00:40:08, Place overall: 1, Place in age division: 1
So, when I found out that today's meet at Cedar was combined with yesterday's, I took the opportunity to register for a race! I haven't been able to run anything outside of school stuff since I came, and when I was supposed to run the 1/2 marathon I got sick.. so this was really my only chance left! After 5 hours of sleep I went out in pouring rain.. Started of fast and no one really followed me so I just ran. It felt like I had a good pace and I wasn't struggling at all until one of the hills after 4 miles. But, as soon as the hill was over, I felt great again! I finished 2nd over all and 1st woman (can you consider yourself that if you're almost 19?) and this totally made my day! I also have a new 10K pr, but that was kind of expected even though the weather was hideous!
| |
| | AM: Arctic Circle PM: Workout. The first thing I said during our DI warm up was that my head felt like it was floating.. and the workout turned out to be really crappy. We did 8x400, and I felt totally fine the first three of them, then something just happened. My head felt like it was gonna fall off and it pretty much did. I think it was all due to that I didn't really drink any water today because I forgot my bottle at home. Not very good if you ask me. Oh well.. I've had so many super good workouts lately that this was probably just good for me. Because when your body can't run, you have to use your mind. My mental strength (and Kaylee) pulled me through the last three 400's, and what doesn't kill me makes me stronger. So the workout on Wednesday is going to be fabulous! Harts cool down. |
| | AM: Arctic Circle PM: 6 miles easy to the random house in Washington Fields, right by my house (or Frida's loop.. hehe). It was HOT and I was about to die. So was Kaylee on the way back. But, I guess I drank a lot better today so it wasn't nearly as crappy as yesterday. After the run we did striders. |
| | AM: Arctic Circle PM: Pine View Relay Day! This was SO much fun! I didn't even know it was against other schools.. thought it was only Pine View, but I guess not! Like I said after Monday's workout, the one today was going to be fabulous, and it was! I did the Distance Medley with Kaylee, Janzen & Liz and we beat the school record! Didn't feel like I was running a 5:27 mile either.. oh my! When I finished I was disappointed that I might have got a crappy time and I was totally trying to convince myself that "you can have bad races sometimes" and "I didn't really have anyone to pace me in the medley".. and so on. So when I found out my time I was SO HAPPY. Then I ran the 4x800 and I don't know my time, but I think it was a PR.. haha! Last (and least) I did the 4x400 and the last 100 m of the lap my legs were dying, haha. I'm not really used to race the 400, especially not after two other races, but I really did my best and it was so much fun! Why aren't every meet like this?? Hm. I'm so ready for the Dixie meet to come this weekend. I've convinced myself to kick some but ;) |
| | AM: Arctic Circle PM: 5 miles easy to Sandburgs... My favorite! Glad Roberts was with me because those cows are still hanging out over there.. uuh. The run felt good, but my legs were a little tight from yesterday's racing. I red today though that active recovery is the best recovery, so I'll be fine faster than fast! After the run I did 4x200! |

Dixie Invitational (1 Miles) 00:05:20, Place overall: 4
AM: Arctic Circle PM: I QUALIFIED IN THE 1600 M!! I can't even describe with words how happy I am! Let's just make this brief: I got my five miles in BUT I REALLY DON'T CARE BECAUSE I QUALIFIED!!! Great race, by the way. Okay.. I guess I want to read more about the race in the future.. so let's put some stuff down. I started out strong with a good pace and hit my first lap at 1:15. I kept getting closer to Aimee Bryson & Darian Sharp ahead of me (who by the way started out a little too strong), but I never really felt like I had to pass them.. I was just so focused on staying strong. Coach was screaming during the 3rd lap how me and Kaylee should pass them before the finishing of the 3rd lap.. but I don't know.. I just couldn't. I stayed strong throughout the whole thing though, and I think my ending (last 150 meters or so) were really strong. I've never felt such a push before, but I think I was afraid that my time would end up being like.... 5:29. Haha. This race gave me so much confidence, and I realize that NOTHING but yourself can stop you from getting where you want to be. Seriously.. when I hit the 5:30 time at the PV Invite I thought I was crazy for getting a new PR by 10 seconds. Today I did it again (Even if it was only 9). I seriously couldn't hold my tears back when coach told me. Then realized I gave myself the best birthday present I could ever ask for, with a lot of help from my coach and teammates of course! Now: getting ready for some great running tomorrow. It shouldn't be too bad since it's in the morning = Good temperature!!

Dixie Invite (2 Miles) 00:11:28, Place overall: 5 | | Started out with the 3200 m this morning! It was really nice weather and I wasn't nervous at all until we hit the starting line! I started out quick and was right in the lead with the Ogden girls and Kaylee (except the crazy girl who beat the state record..) pretty much the whole race. Coach told us to get the acceleration in every lap from 125 m mark to 200 m mark and I really felt like I could do it. The only problem was that the other girls seemed to do the same thing. We stayed in this little lump of runners pretty much the whole race.. even though I really tried to pass them. I think I actually did it too during the 6th lap, but I was to tired to have the lead so they soon passed me again. Anyway, the point is that I was digging deep pretty much the whole race and I stayed with those speedy girls. Even though I ended up after them, I think I did a good job. Another thing that was good was my last kick.. it's usually the last 100 meters, but today it was more like the last 250 meters. I finished really strong and with a PR of 14 seconds. Then me and Rachel ran the 800 m. Our goal was to PR, and I think we did, but I still don't know yet. It was funny how I finished 3rd and she 4th and we were excited abut getting medals and I was excited that I passed the Cedar girl in the end (so that we could get more points than them), and then we realized we weren't even in the fastest heat.. haha. Oh well.. it was a fun race, but my legs were way tired! |
| |
AM: Arctic Circle PM: Today we had the weirdest workout, haha! We did DI like usual, but then we had a "do as many 200's as you can, but make sure to keep your time otherwise you're out"-workout. I'm not complaining, but I can admit that it was hard to push yourself all the way. Me and Kaylee were supposed to hav ethe 1st 200 in a 40 seconds pace, then the "recovery" in a 51 seconds pace. We started out good, but after four laps I started to feel my legs. My 200's were still on time, but the 5th lap my recovery went from 51 to 56. I realized that the 6th one might be my last lap, so I gave everything the next 200 and ended up at 41 seconds (which I thought was pretty good!). The recovery was horrible though and I ended up at 1:05 or something. However, since that was two missed times, two laps in a row, I was done. We did a cool down and I didn't feel like the workout was enough.. I wanted to run more! Can't believe I'm saying this.... Good night!
|
| | AM: Arctic Circle PM: Easy run in a very hot and sunny Washington. Me, Mia & Rachel ran the 6 miles turn around to Green Springs. We stopped at the park and played in the water. It was amazing! After the run we did striders! |
| | AM: Arctic Circle PM: Workout-Wednesday! I think we get that now.. Haha. Me, Mia & Rachel were the only ones running today because of stupid injuries (I feel so bad for the girls but I know they'll get better SOOOON!). We did 2x200's with 200 recovery in between, and then 5 min tempo run. All this time two. I feel so good doing the 200's now compared to like... XC! I just feel so much better at them, and I'm not even scared to do them anymore! Progress, my friends! The first tempo I ran 1350ish meters (was supposed to run no more than 1300), but when I figured out that my pace was a little too fast it was like nothing left so I decided to just go for it. The 200's after were still good and the last tempo was good too. With 2ish minutes left, coach helped me push myself hard. I started to breathe calmer and I was running more on my toes. It felt so good. I finished after 3 laps and 110 meters, but then I still had 10 seconds left at my watch. I pushed hard though and it felt good so.... it was basically a good work out. Now I'm just waiting for Kaylee to GET BETTER so I can run with her. Everything is so much more fun then! DI warm & Harts cool. The End. | |
| | AM: Arctic Circle PM: 5 miles easy to double churches in the Fields. After the run we did 4x200's. A good run! |
| Race: |
SUU Coliseum Championships (2 Miles) 00:11:46, Place overall: 2 | | AM: Arctic Circle PM: RACE! Okay.. so why did we have to wait until 7 pm to run our 3200m? That was really stupid, because I like to get things over with. However.. I wasn't really nervous today. I have to be honest and say I didn't even feel like racing at all. How awful is that? I don't know but the last few races have been such a good experience and last week I finally qualified for the 1600, so my mind was like "Do I really have to do this today?". Stupid. Well, I started out fast and strong and I had the lead from start until the beginning of the 8th and last lap. The Box Elder girl who had been right behind me the whole time passed. I wanted to stay up with her so bad, but my mind was not pushing me to do it, and my legs were tired. I'm really not used to push myself the entire race, I like to be pulled by others, so when she passed I was exhausted. When I finished I felt like I could've done better but i don't know.. This was far from one of my good races, but I guess that's how it is. Running has its up and downs, right? I also did the steeplechase and it was SO MUCH FUN! I didn't know it before coach mentioned it, but apparently I smiled during the run, haha. That's not to often is it? I took 2nd but I don't remember my time. I don't think it was a good time anyway, haha. |
| Race: |
SUU Coliseum Championships (1 Miles) 00:05:31, Place overall: 3 | | So, Saturday and 1600 m. I was excited to race this because I wanted to stay up with Aimee Bryson and I wanted to beat the Box Elder girl from yesterday's 3200. So, basically that was my goal. It worked for... 2.5 laps? My legs were TIRED. I've never felt like that before during a race. Aimee started to take of and the Box Elder girl caught up with me. Blah. I was really bummed when I finished, because I didn't achieve my goal. My time wasn't great either. I guess this was just not really my weekend. |
| | AM: Arctic Circle PM: Workout today like every Monday! It was HOT. We started with DI loop as a warm up, then we did 2x200, 1x800 & 1x300, all times twice. We had equal recovery in between, accept for between the 300 and the next set, where we had an 800 recovery. I was supposed to hit my 200's at 40, my 800's at 2:43 & my 300's at 57. It was so hard to hit the times! And now I don't mean that they were too slow, they were all too fast. Our 200's were 36/37, my first 800 was 2:40 & my first 300 53. Unfortunately we had to take a break in between the first 800 & the 300 because my nose started to bleed. All over the place. Great. However, we finished the 2nd set strong, with better times on the 200's. Right before the 800 coach told me to go strong and don't think about the time, so I did. I almost got a PR. Weird. I felt tired, but still strong so I just ran like it was the last thing I did. I'm happy we could still finish strong on our last 300! The cool down to Harts was the real pain of the day and my mouth was dried out. I guess you don't really care by then because the work out is over, and you can actually see the end of the day coming, haha. |
| | AM: LAST MORNING PRACTICE EVER..... Very emotional. PM: 4 miles easy to the Fields! Stopped by the river for some swimming. Even I did it! It was awesome! We also did the striders at the river before we headed back. |
| | PM: So, since I'm leaving to Havasupai today I had to go out and do the workout by myself. Bad thing no one knew what we were going to do.... Lots of thanks to Byron who was the ONLY ONE who tried to help me, you're awesome Byron! However, we never found out so I just did what we did on Monday, hope you won't kill me coach! I hit the times good accept for the first 800 which was about 5 seconds too slow (2:48). All of my 200's were 36-37, my 2nd 800 was 2:42 and my 300's were both 55 sec. It was hard, but no one but yourself can stop you from doing it, right? DI warm & Harts cool. |
| | I thought today's workout was going to be a piece of cake because of Region on Wednesday. Oh how wrong I had. When we started, we didn't know how much we were going to run, basically just to give ALL we had. Coach started to tell us to sprint as fast as we could until we heard his whistle. The first two times were grand, then my legs started to protest. I gave my all this work out, but like coach told us, as long as you're standing up you can always give a little bit more. That's what I'm gonna think about on Wednesday when I race. To ignore the pain and just go. I felt kinda sick after the workout but it was a good one. I think we all needed something like that, especially me since I haven't ran since Wednesday last week! DI warm + Harts cool. |
| | 4 miles easy to Green Springs. All sore after yesterday, but no complaining. After the run we did 4x200. Those actually felt really good! |
| Race: |
Region (1 Miles) 00:05:22, Place overall: 3 | | I don't know where to start. I've never been this nervous before a race in my entire life. I've been having night mares for two nights in a row and stomach ache since Havasupai just because of a stupid race. Now afterwards I can see how stupid I was, this wasn't any worse than anything else I've done! Today we had the 1600 m Region. My goal was to be top three and to really stay up with Aimee Bryson this time. We started out with a fast 100 meter, then for some reason she slowed down WAY too much. I just felt like I had to pass her since the tempo was so slow and I wanted a good time. I only had the lead for like a lap or so, then Aimee and Kaylee passed me. I wanted to stick with them, and I did! We took of quite a bit after 800, so the second half of the race was probably way faster than the first. I finished 3 seconds behind Aimee and 1 second behind Kaylee even though I really tried to stick in with them. I thought my time would be really crappy due to the first 800 m, but when I found out it was 5:22 I was pleased. A little bummed though, because I could've PR'd, but it gave me a goal to really go for a new good PR up at State next weekend! It was FUN to race today and now I'm really excited to race tomorrow too. The 800 will be a challenge, but like I said, I'm just excited right now! |
| Race: |
Region (2 Miles) 00:11:49, Place overall: 2 | | So, after yesterday's race I wasn't really nervous for the 3200 today. Me and Kaylee just decided to go out and run it hard and beat the rest. That's pretty much what we did! We started out strong with a Canyon View girl in lead, but I figured she would die after a while because we had a pretty good pace. She did. Coach screamed at us to take turns of the lead, so every lap either me or Kaylee passed the other one and we had the lead every other lap. It was HARD to push through and pass her, it felt so nice to stay behind her haha. We did it pretty good though, and then the two last laps Kaylee just pushed me hard. I seriously was about to die, then I thought about coach's little lecture the other day on the track and I kept pushing. When we finished I felt like I had given my all, which I did, and I was sure I PR'd. Not really huh. I guess 93° makes it a little though on you, but I'm so proud we paced us through the race and ended up 1st and 2nd. And Rachel took 3rd right behind me, so we just got like 24 point which was pretty epic! Then I had the 800. I didn't want to do it AT ALL. And when I found out that I was in the slow heat I was about to cry and go tell coach I didn't want to run. What a wimp, seriously? Liz grabbed me and told me to just run because just because I was in the slow heat didn't mean I couldn't beat the girls in the fast one. I decided to suck it up and just do it, it's after all just 800 m! I talked to coach and he told me to go out hard and take the lead, we just needed points. I didn't believe in myself at all, but I figured I could try. I took of strong and took the lead right away. I FELT really strong too during the first lap, and then it was just to buck it the second! I was starting out as number 3 so I was kind of waiting for the 1st & 2nd girl to catch up with me, but they never did. Instead the 4th girl, with 100 m left, caught up with me and we had a little mini race the last part. Unfortunately she won it, but when I heard her time (2:29), I realized mine must be 2:30. I PR'd WITH 8 SECONDS. What have I been doing the whole season? Good question. I ended up beating everyone but 3 in the fast heat, so I placed 5th over all, 1 place from state! My time was 2:30:25 and the girl who took 4th had a time of 2:29:90. Kinda close. A little part of me is telling me that this was good though, because I wouldn't have been prepared to run it at state. A little bummed because it would have been so much cooler to take 4th, but oh well.. 800 m: 5:25:30, 5th place
| | We were supposed to run 4ish. Didn't happen since it got dark really quick, we were out in Zion to help with an aid station at the 100/50 mile race. It was fun though, we ran some hills, hehe. |
| | Ran 3 miles with the girls this morning at Zion. Sweet. Came home and realized my legs were super tight and my brain was like dough so I went out for another 3 miles. My calves are still a little tight but I felt so much better the rest of the day! |
| | Today we had a pretty easy workout on the track. It was steaming hot though, so something "easy" was actually pretty hard. We did 100, 200 & 300 with a start of a pace like a 800 m race. Half way we had to sprint. After that we did "Master Blaster" (?), which is kinda like a relay thing. My team was blond and legit even though we lost. The relay consisted of 2x200 full speed, and after that we did one more 200 with an easier start. That's it. I felt really good today despite the heat and it's really mixed feelings for me right now with everything I do.. It's coming to an end. Probably my last workout on Wednesday. It will definitely be sentimental. Great job from all of the girls today though, we did as much as the boys *proud*, hehe! (DI warm + Harts cool) |
| | 3 miles easy to Arctic Circle and back. I thought coach was joking when he said 3 miles, but obviously not! So we all ran and got some water, then we ran back! |
| | Easiest workout of my life, haha. 4x200's. Yes, coach keeps joking. Was kinda mad at Rachel for telling me 2 timed 1600's haha, would not have been fun in today's heat! Anyway, we did Harts warm & cool and then the four 200's. My legs were kinda like jello today but he 200's were fast and good anyway, so I guess that's good. I'm preparing mentally for State right now. Leaving tomorrow, waaah!! |
| | Ran like two miles at Bulldog High School and did a couple of 200's. My legs felt great and I was excited for Friday's race!! (Really nervous though!) |
| Race: |
Utah State Championships (1 Miles) 00:05:21, Place overall: 12 | | 1600 m Race today! 50% focused on the race, 50% focused on my parents presence. I had so many feelings in my mind today before my race it wasn't even funny. The entire race felt really strong though, and I pushed myself to get a good time (my goal was to PR). I finished with 1 sec over my PR, which was a little bummer.. but I guess I didn't care at the time. I was just SO happy when the race was over and I got to talk to my parents for the first time in months. The entire race felt really good though and I felt strong all the way, so I'm really happy with today's effort. It was a really cool experience to run in front of SO many people, it really gave you some extra energy! And I'm happy the weather decided to be good until we were done!! |
| Race: |
Utah State Championships (2 Miles) 00:11:25, Place overall: 7 | | 3200 m!! I was not nervous at all for today. I kinda just wanted to get over with it, but when I entered the track the nervousness caught me! It was not one of those "I wanna throw up" feelings, it was more adrenaline! My goal was like yesterday's; to stay behind Kaylee and push myself to stick with her. I started out ahead of her, but soon she caught me so that I could stick to my plan. I remember myslef thinking after 2 laps that I felt so good. Really good. I probably compared it to the 3200 Region a week ago when I felt like poop the entire race. However, I felt super good and strong! All of a sudden this stupid Canyon View girl passes me (she hasn't beaten me since the Desert Hills Invite months ago) and I realize that's not supposed to happen. I changed my goal with the race: I have to beat her! I don't remember exactly the laps because 8 is too many to keep track of, but I think that after 6ish laps, I passed Kaylee because I felt too strong no to, and I didn't want to lose the pack. I think I passed the CV girl with 1ish lap left.. or maybe earlier?... and I knew in that very moment that I was going to beat her. I started out the last lap behind two girls and I ended up beating one of them, and that made me really happy; I could stay strong all the way. I placed 7th (ranked 8th so that was good!) and PRd with 3 seconds. I was really pleased with my effort, but I couldn't hold my tears back when I realized that was it. Well.. running is not over for me even though this was my last race in the PV uniform. I know that for a fact.
| | Ran for the first time in Sweden today. It's really not like running in St. George. I wore a long sleeved shirt... haha. It felt really good to be back, now I just have to find some different distances to run around here :) | |
| | Great run today! Even though I only slept like 4 hours tonight I felt like running forever! Maybe it's because it's actually sunny today.. oh my this rain is killing me!! | |
| | I had a really good pace the entire run. Felt great! | |
| | Pouring rain. Maybe not the smartest thing after my little sickness, but I don't care! It felt SOOO good to be back out running and I know that me and my running shoes are meant to be! Hehe. I've never ran this run before, but it was out to a church called Höja Curch - and back. Thought it was 8 miles but unfortunately not. It was a great run though, the entire run on pavement. |
| | I ran to my work and back! It was not fun. It was raining. Did I mention it was raining? Hehe. It felt good though! | |
| | In the rain in the forest.. my "basic" run, or the run I always ran when I didn't love running yet. So it's kinda painful to run it... But it's still a run, you know!
|
| | I ran to the gym and back. I'm working on that bicep... or whatever you call it. Haha. Actually I'm not. I just think it's fun to go there and look cool in all my t-shirts from XC and Track. Hahaha. |
| | No forest today. I'm getting sick of it! Can someone please give me a running buddy? It was SUNNY today though! I can't believe it. I love the sun! I'm getting super white due to all this rain.. depressing guys! Never complain about the sun or the heat until you've been living here for a couple of months.. However, the run was good! My legs felt great! |
| | I could sleep in this morning, but I woke up at 9 to go for a run! I did the same as I did on Sunday - Höja Church run. I have to start call my runs for something so you guys know! Then I can post pictures from Google Maps so you can see exactly where I run. That would be cool. Well.. my legs felt like poop almost the entire run and I just wanted to get done with it.. so I did. And now after I feel great. One more day of running then I think I'll take Sunday off :) MISS ST GEORGE. Bye. | |
| | My goodness! I'm sorry for being such a slacker guys.. I'm running though, no worries!! Running feels really good, that's why I've been starting to go for longer ones. It still feels pretty nice! I don't know if it's too soon, but I just love it. Yesterday's run was fabulous and I had a really nice pace the entire run! Today was good too, but I was going to run 7.5, but changed my mind after 3 miles. My legs weren't that tired, but my head was. Last week I worked 72 hours despite all my running. I don't even know myself how I did, haha. Well, luckily I survived! Planning on going for a bit longer runs by the end of the week, and like always Sunday off! Can't believe summer's almost over... and XC is about to start for real. I feel like coming back and kick Rachel's butt. Haha, just kidding, you will kick everyone else's! Please keep reading my blog, from now on I'm writing every day! That's right! Miss you! | |
| | Höja Church! My sister biked next to me so it was bearable ;) no rain during the entire run so that was great! Still kinda tired in my body, but think I'll feel better tomorrow since I can sleep in! | |

Okay, September 1st. I need to update. I've been running, don't worry guys! Had a 3 days break this week because I went up to Stockholm to watch Coldplay play. It was freakin awesome. So today when I went for my run I felt super nice. I had a good pace. School started too now, it's okay I guess. I want to start doing track here. Should I talk to a track coach? I miss giving everything, the feeling in your legs when you just nailed it. Those days I only feel that in my head. Sucks, haha. Well, planning on racing September 15th. I haven't been doing any speed work outs because I'm too lazy. I need one Holt and four speedy girls to push me. Here, the only thing I have is a lazy sister with a bike. Wearing flip flops. Yeah. That's why I need to do track. Period.

| | Woooho! I'm so stoked about this upcoming race! And also because JP is still reading my blog even though I'm not updating haha! Well, now I am :) For those who wonder, the race is a 10.2K (that 0.2 is important haha). However, today I ran 6 miles in a good pace. It was almost like a work out!! It took me slightly over 40 minutes, I didn't time it exactly, which is pretty good I guess. This week I'm also going to start to some interval training, which is more like speed work outs. I want to run the half marathon in May in Gothenburg and now is the time to start practice. Maybe, like I said yesterday too, I will ask some track coach if I can do some indoor races this winter. Where did all this energy come from? Maybe I should write you guys a new letter too while I have all the energy? I definitely should! And don't forget: XC 4 life. Just sayin. | |

The bad thing about living in Sweden is that you get sick. All. The. Time. I need at least one day to recover, hopefully I'll be back out running tomorrow!
| |
| | Yeah, still sick. I even had a fever today when I came home from school, so slept for 3 hours. Wish I could run for 3 instead. I pray I'll get better until tomorrow!!! Misssss you guys |
| | This is just great! Still sick, better today though! I've been searching for cures against being sick all day. Let's just say I've tried it all. So, HOPEFULLY, tomorrow. Tomorrow. Please. Bye. | |
| | I went out running today!! I'm still not totally okay, my mom thought it was a bad idea to run, but I chose not to listen to her! I just went for a short one because I still felt kinda tired in my head and legs, but despite that not too bad! Hopefully I didn't make anything worse, which means that I can add some more mileage tomorrow. Think it's going to rain in the morning so I'll probably run in PE in the afternoon. By the way, I start school at 1 pm tomorrow. I have two classes. Math and PE. FYI :D |
| |
AM: I ran 2 miles on the tread mill at the gym. Not a lot, but enough to get super warm!! PM: Kicked some guy's butt in PE today. He thought he was super fast. Before he met me, hehehehe... Just kidding! But he really didn't think I could run.. 5.5ish miles did we run. In a good pace. Felt sick after, but I'm totally fine now :) |
| | A good run today! Still feel that I've been sick when I breath, hope it will get better soooooon :) |
| | Left my house 8:45 this morning to go for a long run. It was SUPERB! Some coughing still, but way less than yesterday! This week I'm going to start out strong just so that I can take it easier by the end of the week since I'm racing on Saturday. WOHO. Can't believe it! Hope you all did good at your races this weekend. Love U! | |
| | Easy run today! It was super nice weather and both my mom and Ellen biked with me. Getting ready for Saturday! Ps. LOVE YOU TOO STONER & JP! |
| | I did a workout today! It had been raining cats and dogs (that's just so funny!) all day, but it finally stopped around 5 pm, so I went out to run. I did intervals by time - 4:30 minx5 (kind of 1000's x 5) with 1 minute recover in between. I started with a 10 minute warm up and then I did the intervals, and the first two were totally fine, but then on the third one I started to feel a little tired. But I'd decided to finish all 5 of them so I did. And even if I was tired I had a good pace! I finished up with a 12ish minute cool down aaaall the way back home! |
| | Ran in PE. My legs felt tired. |
| | Easy run... Have a race coming up!! |
| Race: |
Lergöksloppet (6.4 Miles) 00:44:55, Place overall: 5 | | So, I raced today. It didn't go very well.. actually it was good but nothing like I wanted it to be. I started out pretty quick, not too fast, and I had a good pace at least until I got cramps after 6K. And had to WALK for like 2 minutes. That was so frustrating. My dad told me to eat some pasta salad 2 hours before, which I thought was a bad idea, but you're supposed to do as your parents tell you, right?? At least I think that made my stomach upset so I got cramps. I finished 5th of all the girls, but without the cramps I might have taken 3rd place. They weren't that much ahead of me! After the race I was so bummed, and mad at my dad especially, so when I went on my cool down I threw my medal into the forest. Haha.... I think I'm a sore loser. Oh well, I haven't been running like a Pine View girl for a while so now afterwards I feel okay. BUT.. this made me miss you guys so much! Please take care of your opportunity you have to run in school and make it a fun time! When it's gone you'll realize how much it meant! Okay... guess this was it :)
| | Morning run. No rain. Peace. Quiet. Nice :) | |
